The conference theme highlights the need to equip and prepare our crop scientists and be the prime mover of agricultural industry in the region through research, education and training.
One of the activities during the conference is the Agri-entrepreneurs' Forum where the region's farmers, agri-businessmen and the like are given an opportunity to learn and ask questions related to their concerns. One of the concerns identified by the local Organizing Committee (DA-RFO12) relates to the awareness of farmers on the ASEAN integration.

Dr William D Dar gave an Inspirational Message last night during the Awarding Ceremonies of CSSP in General Santos City. The key message is that CSSP and its member scientists and change agents help the country attain its goals of ensuring food security, income security, and environmental security!
